Job Summary

Job Title: Space Planning Intern
Reports To: Director of Business Analytics

Internship Type: Paid Internship

Location: Green Bay Support Office (De Pere, Wisconsin)

Duration: Fall 2025

 

The Space Planning Intern will support the Space Planning team in executing assortment and planogram strategies across various categories. This internship offers hands-on experience in retail space planning, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will assist in gathering data, preparing reports, and contributing to the development of planograms under the guidance of experienced analysts.

External Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the planogram development process by gathering product data, organizing files, and supporting documentation needs.
  • Help compile and analyze basic assortment data using Excel and other tools.
  • Participate in team meetings to observe and learn how insights are presented and decisions are made.
  • Support communication between merchandising, store operations, and vendor partners by preparing meeting notes and summaries.
  • Help maintain planogram documentation and ensure files are properly stored and accessible.
  • Contribute to the execution of new store and remodel initiatives by assisting with layout documentation and setup coordination.
  • Perform administrative tasks and support special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the internship schedule.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Strong interest in retail, merchandising, or data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to retail or merchandising through coursework, part-time work, or extracurricular activities.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or analytics tools is a plus.

  • Requires fine finger and broad manual dexterity.
  • The position requires frequent bending at or below waist level, kneeling and reaching above shoulder level.
  • The position requires the employee to lift up to 5 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Sitting or standing at a desk/computer 75% of the time. Travel <10.

  • Expected to work approximately 15–20 hours/week during school year
